Tropical Punch Dress
Summer is in full gear, and man is it hot here guys. Keeping cool seems impossible, which made it the perfect day to hide under the trees in Old City, Philadelphia and visit The American Revolution Museum! The museum just opened this season and it was a great experience that I highly recommend to any visitor or local!
For the day, I slipped on this gorgeously tropical jersey dress I picked up from local Renee James Boutique along with the perfect tote bag that I know will be my go-to for the rest of the summer and the start of school! Paired with my comfy sandals and this gorgeous tortoise shell bracelet I felt like I could take on the city, heat and all. I love this little dress, it's perfect for a day in the city or at the beach (AND IT HAS POCKETS, GUYS!) I am so pleased how it held up all day.
Renee James Boutique
When it comes to affordable and cute clothes, some people don't know where to go. Renee James is here to save your day (and wallet.) Just opening in November of this year (2016) the shop is quaint, colorful, and fun! From the moment I walked in, I was embraced by Renee, who owns the namesake shop. Renee is like your best friend that is just as excited about the clothes as you are. Renee is the ultimate #girlboss, because aside from owning this great boutique, she is also a full time RN! How amazing! Saving lives, and my wardrobe...now that's what I call a great gig. Every piece I tried on was more adorable than the next and I looked and felt like a million bucks (even though I spent nowhere near that!) What I really love about this boutique is that they only order a small amount of each piece, so you can be sure that your piece is unique and you won't show up to a party looking like a clone of everyone else. I am so excited to introduce Renee James to you all, be sure to follow them on Instagram (they're killing it) and to keep up to date on when new stuff comes in!

Lunch at the Little Lion
My friend Liz (and future roomie!) wandered around Old City after going to the American Revolutionary Museum and were able to snag lunch at my favorite spot, The Little Lion! The Little Lion was the nickname of Alexander Hamilton, the nation's first Treasury secretary, the major author of the Federalist papers... and obviously the inspiration behind Hamilton the Musical so it makes total sense why this little place fits right in Old City. They focus on southern inspired dishes with Philly flare, and it's one of the most instagramable resturants in the city if I do say so myself.
We ordered The Wedge Salad, Mac 'N Cheese, BBQ Chicken Sliders and Tomato Soup! Highly recommend this place whenever you're in town!
